All About Likhang Arsilya

Likhang Arsilya or "made with clay," originated in January 2024. In harmony with our vision, Likhang Arsilya proudly embraces the tagline, "sa bawat hulma'y obra," meaning "every mold is a masterpiece," as we aim to invite our customers to appreciate the intricate details and the personal touch infused into every piece, acknowledging that true beauty often lies in imperfections that make each creation one of a kind.

We are a company that combines creativity, modernism, and tradition by showcasing a variety of pottery and ceramic items. Our collection offers a wide variety of styles, including unique and minimalist patterned designs, to accommodate the preferences and individual styles of our customers. Value We Offer

Likhang Arsilya embraces the craftsmanship of pottery to uphold and preserve Philippine art and culture. Aside from offering pottery and ceramic products, we also aim to partner with chosen Filipino artisans in the Ilocos region and provide a profound avenue for them towards economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. This is because we were inspired by their continuous production of molding unglazed clay jars called “Burnay,” and weaving cotton fabric called “Inabel” in Ilocos. Despite technological advancement over the years, they still follow the traditional way of producing their products, excluding the use of modernized machinery. From this, we chose them as beneficiaries as it serves as our deep appreciation for keeping the traditional essence of handicrafts. While we promote and patronize local pottery in our business to be shared to our customers, we are also offering vital support to skilled artisans, enabling them to thrive and pass down their craft to future generations. With this, we could express and strengthen the unique Filipino identity and validate the timeless creativity of our communities. Through this partnership, we can recognize their artistic endeavors and contribution to our cultural heritage with utmost importance.

Our Team

We, Charisse De Luna and Zarah Fernando at Likhang Arsilya, are passionate about conserving and promoting the rich cultural and creative history of the Philippines through the items that we have carefully produced.

Our team holds the belief that pottery goes far beyond being a mere craft, as it serves as a meaningful tool for expressing our emotions and artistic vision. Each piece of pottery bears its own distinctive narrative, shaped by the artists and infused with their heartfelt sentiments. Our goal is to present the aesthetic value of pottery to individuals, as it frequently imparts lessons on the importance of appreciating all things, embracing the beauty found in errors and imperfections.

As we continue to learn, grow, and advance, our team invites you to join us in our endeavor to cultivate an appreciation for the craft of pottery and to disseminate our mission: to promote and advocate for the artistry and cultural significance of Philippine pottery.
